After retelling the glory of Satavahana ruler Gauthamiputra Satakarni and winning the hearts of Telugu audience, star filmmaker Krish Jagarlamudi is set to re-enter Bollywood with an interesting flick. Krish, who scored a big hit in Hindi with Gabbar is Back, will now direct a biopic on Maratha lady warrior and queen Rani Laxmi Bhai. The film will star talented Hindi actress Kangana Ranaut in titular role.
An interesting buzz in now making rounds in Bollywood circles. Reportedly, Kangana is desperate to co-direct this film apart from playing the lead role. The film was supposed to be helmed by Ketan Mehta and Kangana was keen on contributing to the script, but the director pulled out from the project due to unknown reasons.
Sources now say that Krish is happy with her involvement and agreed to work on the project. The Queen actress will give her valuable inputs in script work and will assist Krish in the direction department. The film is likely to made in three languages – Telugu, Hindi and Tamil. Star script writer Vijayendra Prasad will pen the story for this biopic.
