Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has been drawing flak from not only opposition parties but also his own party. Almost a year ago, in April 2016, Chief Minister surprised his Cabinet colleagues by giving them ranks based on their performance. Chandrababu with the cabinet reshuffle cut his nose to spite the face. Four out of five leaders who were in the top fifteen of the 20-member cabinet were sacked.
After a year, Chief minister removed the top scorers in the cabinet shuffle. Peethala Sujatha who topped the rating was dropped. Ravela Kishore Babu, Palle Raghunath Reddy and Kimidi Mrunalini who were ranked 6,11,13 respectively were shown the door.
Chandrababu earlier said that though there were number of candidates, who were eligible to be inducted into the Cabinet, but for limitations and laid down rules not many could be accommodated. The chief minister might want to give more clarity on the rankings if they were incorrect or the cabinet expansion rules were all about caste and district equations.
He also said that the leaders should understand the facts, may be the TDP supremo might want to reveal more facts about the rankings
