Superstar Rajinikanth has stupendous fan base across the Telugu speaking states and the Telugu rights of his films have been acquired for massive prices. Now his next outing 2.0 is the costliest Indian film and is directed by Shankar. The principle shoot of the movie has been wrapped up and Shankar is now focussed on the post-production work of 2.0. With Baahubali: The Conclusion raking huge figures expanding the market, the makers of 2.0 are in plans to sell the film across all the territories for massive prices.
As per the latest update, top filmmaker Sai Korrapati is the frontrunner in the race to acquire the Telugu rights. He is said to have offered Rs 60 crores for the Telugu rights and the makers are yet to respond. Sources informed that the deal is expected to be closed in couple of days. Rajinikanth, Amy Jackson and Akshay Kumar played the lead roles in 2.0 which has been bankrolled by Lyca Productions. The movie will hit the screens in 15 languages and in 3D during the Republic Day weekend early next year.
