Veteran actor Mohan Babu has been away from films from sometime as he was not convinced with the scripts he has been approached with. The actor has been quite choosy and he has been completely impressed with a story narrated by Madan. It was Madan’s debut film Pellaina Kothalo that worked well, but his later films failed to make much impact. Mohan Babu gave his nod for the film which has been titled Gayathri.
The movie has been launched formally yesterday in a private ceremony and the regular shoot will start next month. Vishnu and Anasuya will essay other crucial roles. Mohan Babu felt that he can carry the character after which he signed he film and decided to produce it on his prestigious Lakshmi Prasanna Pictures banner. SS Thaman will compose the music and Sarvesh Murari handles the camera.
