Andhra Pradesh government, which is going full throttle to celebrate the foundation laying ceremony of the proposed capital city Amaravati, has appointed three committees to look after various arrangement for the program. Municipal administration and urban development minister P Narayana will head the organizing committee, which is responsible for the successful conduct of the spectacular event. The 23-member committee, among others, has ministers of agriculture, water resources, information and public relations, healath; MPs Galla Jayadev, Rayapati Sambasiva Rao, Murali Mohan; MLA T Sravan Kumar, special chief secreary R&B Sam Bob as members. The five-member reception committee is headed by district collector. The collector will also head the venue committee which is responsible for the minute to minute program and other ceremony related ritual at the site of foundation. The media committee is headed by Parakala Prabhakar, media advisor to the government.
The state government has already declared the ceremony as the state program.
In the meantime, chief minister Naidu reviewed the arrangements with the CRDA officials and instructed them to organized the function in the earmarked 50-acre land where PM lays the foundation in such a way that the ceremony be remembered for 1000 years. Naidu told them that the ceremony should remain symbol of Telugu pride and every Telugu soul had been waiting to see the occasion with the bated breath. The capital will have 9 theme cities namely tourism city, health city,electronics city, knowledge city / education city, Justice city, Cultural city, sports city and finance city. The tourism city will come up along the length of Kondveedu canal and the abutting reservoir.
CM Naidu asked the official to visit the five important city suggested by Prime Minister Modi before finalising the sky scrapers in the capital region. Naidu also interacted with Rajiv Sethi about the theme to developed for the stage of the ceremony. They are said to thinking of the rising sun backdrop symbolizing Andhra Pradesh as the sunrise state on the east coast.
