The Union Cabinet expansion is likely to take place shortly and reports have surfaced that several ministers including Nirmala Sitharaman, Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Kalraj Mishra, Uma Bharati have reportedly resigned to their ministerial candidature.
The cabinet shuffle process will conclude on Saturday evening which is being done in view of the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections. Speculations are rife that Telugu Desam MP and Union Minister of Civil Aviation Ashok Gajapathi Raju is likely to lose his post and will be replaced by Nitin Gadkari. He may be allocated new ministry.
Railway minister Suresh Prabhu who offered his resignation will be allocated a new role.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be accommodating new allies JDU and AIADMK in his cabinet.
BJP President Amit Shah has been in conversation with some senior ministers. As many as 19 new leaders were inducted into the cabinet shuffle which happened in July last year.
