India got its second woman Defence Minister after Indira Gandhi on Sunday. Nirmala Sitaraman who was Minister of Commerce secured the Defence portfolio to become the first non-Prime Minister woman leader. Four ministers were elevated and nine new ministers of state inducted. They were administered the oath of secrecy in the Rashtrapati Bhavan by President Ram Nath Kovind.
