Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said that the state of Andhra Pradesh will be transformed into technology and knowledge hub. Addressing a two-day global conference on block chain technology he said, he said that the Block Chain Hackathon received good response and henceforth they will be conducting hackathons on various such topics every month.
Around 80CEOs from various Finance and IT firms participated in the event. Vishakapatnam will turn into Block chain capital in the country.
Minister of IT&C Nara Lokesh said that global companies are now expressing interest to invest in state due to the policies and progress in the state. He noted that the as first of its kind initiative in the country, the Andhra Pradesh government is committed and will play a catalytic role in investment and adaption of Blockchain implementation. Lokesh tweeted, “We will create a vast pool of professionals by setting up a School of Excellence for Blockchain technologies under IIDT”
He spoke elaborately on the wave of disruption driven by Internet of Things and Blockchain technology. The government has reportedly implemented pilot projects with the help of six global Blockchain technology firms in Transport & Land Registrations departments.
