Recap 2017 New Telugu Heroines
Telugu film industry directors are always criticized for casting heroines who can’t speak or understand the Telugu language. Most of the directors smartly state various silly reasons but few directors intentionally cast Telugu speaking girls. But the reality is talent provides opportunities despite the region or the language and here is the list of new talented heroines who have made their debut in Tollywood in 2017.
1.Ritika Singh
Ritika Singh is a professional kickboxer, she represented Indian in 2009 Asian Games. She was spotted by director Sudha Kongara while she was looking for a professional boxer role in her film. Ritika grabbed the chance making her debut into the glamour world signing the trilingual project. She has impressed Telugu audiences as a rough adorable boxer in Guru movie that released on 31st March.
2. Sai Pallavi
Sai Pallavi has spelled her magic in hearts of everyone with Premam movie and as expected she was signed for a three-film deal by producer Dil Raju. Sai Pallavi steeped into Tollywood with Fidaa movie released on 21st July. She played a bubbly character Bhanumathi and her own dubbing in Telangana accent clicked perfectly with the audiences. Sai Pallavi is the most wanted heroine for all the filmmakers in the south film industry right now with a handful of films besides star heroes.
3. Shalini Pandey
Shalini Pandey was interested in acting from her teens and she joined theater acting while she was in her engineering the second year. Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga was auditioning for lead actress keeping few important things in his mind as it’s a unique role which requires strong acting skills. Even though Shalini had little run time with few dialogues to her credit she nailed it with her performance especially in the climax episode as Preethi where she won everyone with her acting skills in Arjun Reddy that hit silver screens on 25th August , 2017
4. Nivetha Pethuraj
Nivetha Pethuraj came to limelight by winning Miss India UAE pageant in 2015 and she was signed for two Tamils films by the filmmakers. Debutant director Vivek Athreya though she is perfect for the character of Swecha in Mental Madhilo after watching her Tamil movies. Nivetha lived up to the expectations of the director by stealing everyone’s heart as the girl next door and the one you have encountered at least once in your routine. Mental Madhilo released on 24th November 2017 and turned into a silent hit with a positive talk from the first day.
5. Kalyani Priyadarshan
Kalyani Priyadarshan hails from filmy family where her father is a popular Malayalam director and her mother is a famous actress. Director Vikram Kumar worked as assistant director for Priyadarshan and he knows Kalyani from her childhood. When Vikram thought of a young love story he felt Kalyani will suit the role and she did complete justice to her role as Priya/Junnu beside Akhil. Hello got released on 22nd December and after that Kalyani’s social media accounts are filled with “I HATE YOU” messages, well everyone who watched Hello film will definitely know what we are mentioning about.
