As everyone knows, real estate market is very very volatile. Moreover, when it comes to real estate of Amaravati, it is even more volatile compared to established cities. Now it seems, Amaravati real estate is totally down and transactions being put on hold.
According to builders and realty firms, they had invested huge amounts in this region at the time of announcement of Amaravati as capital location. They envisaged big boom and huge developments at this location. However, later demonetization and GST effect hit the sector and there was slump in the industry across the country including Amaravati. One more reason for this slump is delayed capital city works. In the month of January 2018 several realtors and builders met and requested IT and Panchayat Raj minister Nara Lokesh to start capital city works quickly as it would give the impetus they have been waiting for long.
Nara Lokesh as well as Chandra Babu Naidu responded to them positively and at the time real estate was expected to boom at Amaravati, Pawan’s speech changed the total situation again. Since it looks as if Pawan going to go independently all buyers are now not sure if Babu would comeback in 2019 or not as Pawan pulled out. So, everyone wants to wait and see till next elections. All real estate transactions being put on hold for the time being.
