KCR, of late, showing no hesitation to display his national ambitions. TRS gave ads in dailies of several other languages today along with most of the Telugu dailies. Obviously netizens trolled this move of TRS.
KCR started a new scheme “Raithu Bandhu” and through this scheme, KCR’s government will give 4000 each for Rabi and Khariff seasons for investment for the crop. There is lot of positive buzz on this scheme from farmers of Telangana state. All is fine, but the way KCR advertised this scheme is bringing him criticism. While it is perfectly fine to give ads in Telangana and Telugu dailies, what purpose does it serve when they give ads in other states and the dailies of other languages, netizens questioned.
Netizens unanimously opined that the advertisements given in other state newspapers is sheer waste of public Money. They also questioned, Why waste crores of rupees for unnecessary publicity wile it could be used to help who are in need. Many opined that this kind of advertisements are given only to build image at national level and they reminded Aravind Kejrival doing similar exercise some years back when he had similar national level ambitions.
We have wait and see if TRS leadership takes a cue from social media and modify their plans accordingly.
