After the horrific scenes in Telangana Assembly on March 12th, where Council Chairman Swamy Goud’s eye was injured, Congress leaders Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and Sampath Reddy were handed over life ban by the Telangana Government. In a unanimous manner, the two Congress MLAs were handed life ban.
Soon, the two MLAs approached the High Court, which ordered a single-judge bench to look into the case. After the single-judge bench gave a verdict in favour of the MLAs, the Telangana Govt. approached the High Court. 12 TRS MLAs filed the petition.
Jandhyala Ravi Shankar, who represented the Congress party argued that ‘the TRS government did not release the incident footage. When the Governor is present in the assembly, the entire house comes under his prerogative. If the MLAs are to be banned, it is the Governor who should take the decision’.
Seconding Congress Party’s legal counsel’s opinion, the Judge dismissed the petition filed by the TRS MLAs.
It is yet again clear that KCR should start respecting democracy and stop his dictatorship rule.
