Ee Nagaraniki Emaindhi Audio Review
Ee Nagaraniki Emaindhi is an upcoming youthful flick from the talented young folks Tarun Bhaskar Dhassyam, composer Vivek Sagar who delivered a massive hit Pelli Choopulu in the year 2016. This film stars Vishwak Sen,Sai Sushanth, Anisha Ambrose and Abhinav Gowtam in lead roles. The film is produced by the renowned Suresh Productions.
The funky album begins with Swagatham Suswagatam which aims to strike between modern jazz, club music and also peppy 80s rock. The usage of bass guitar, harmonica and syncopated rhythm does the job perfectly for the track. The lyrics and singing done Cisco Chi is a revelation for sure!
Aagi Aagi is a relaxing melody from Anurag Kulkarni who has become the voice of the year with his soft vocals. Usage of violin by Abhijit Gurjale with casual guitar strumming is done quite efficiently. Flute bits by Pramod Umapathi is quite soothing and soulful as well. Krishna Kanth’s lyrics are quite simple and at the same time strike a thoughtful chord.
On the contrary, Parada Jarupukoni is a happy go lucky rock number with mesmerizing electric guitars and live drumming. The love for classy jazz is clearly witnessed even this number which is greatly supported by Hemachandra’s vocals. The interludes are greatly equipped with sultry saxophone and usage of synth was done in a controlled manner- which is a rarity off late! The tantalising rhythm is the biggest highlight of the song.
The laid back nature comes back with College Agelona with excellent usage of blues fused with 80s synth sound. Wilson Herald does a commendable job with his very neat diction and fantastic rendition. The timely riffs are the biggest asset of this composition. Kittu Vissapragada’s lyrics score big time especially with the rap portion!
Veedioponidhi Okateley is an introspective number which also has a melancholic touch. Composer Vivek Sagar himself rendered the vocals with great breeziness. A tinge of classicism in this ballad is one of the prime assets. Vivek Athreya’s poetic lyrics add like an icing on the cake. The chord progression is greatly aided with an emotional display of violin and swift acoustic guitar.
The grand finale occurs with Maare Kalaley– with impressive electric guitar usage and syncopated rhythm once again. It is a rare feat to see a young composer play around with rhythm section instead of sticking to a safer conventional formula. Sooraj Santhosh of Masala Coffee fame carries the song on his own shoulders with his fantastic rendition and controlled vocals. The live drumming is even more sublime and masterfully follows the lead with great ease.
Verdict:
Ee Nagaraniki Emaindhi is a fantastic album from the young team of Vivek Sagar. It is a welcome change to see such crossovers of international genres in Telugu Film Music without tampering with the nativity!
Our Picks: Maare Kalaley, College Agelona, Aagi Aagi
