While it’s still more than a month away from going to sets, filmmaker Kishore Tirumala is getting a strong technical team in place for ‘Chitralahari- Bar and Restaurant’, headlined by Sai Dharam Tej. Close on the heels of roping in Sunil for a key role, we hear the director has now got the likes of Devi Sri Prasad and Karthik Ghattamaneni on board for music and cinematography respectively.
While Kishore has worked with Devi for his earlier two films —‘Nenu.. Sailaja…’ and ‘Vunnadhi Okate Zindagi’—and enjoys a good working relation with him, this would be the first time that he’d be associating with Karthik Ghattamaneni, who has won praise for his camerawork in films like ‘Prema Ishq Kadhal’, ‘Karthikeya’ and ‘Ninnu Kori’ among others. “Kishore rates Sameer Reddy, who has shot his earlier two ventures very high, but this time around he felt the need for a change and since ‘Chitralahari’ too, is set in Vizag, he wanted a fresh eye to present the city and its surroundings in a never before way. And so, Karthik was approached, who was more than happy to nod his head to the project after endorsing the content,” confirmed a source.
A Mythri Movie Makers production, ‘Chitralahari’ will explore the relationship between a father and his son, with an emotional love story woven into it. Kalyani Priyadarshan and Ritika Singh are on board to play female leads.
