Congress party announced its first list with 65 candidates last night. After the list is out, many senior congress leaders got shocked. Especially Ponnala, Marri, and Vishnu didn’t find their names in the first list.
Former PCC chief Ponnala Lakshmaiah did not get a seat in the first list. As part of the grand alliance, Prof Kodandaram is asking for Janagama seat. So, Congress party put this seat on hold. Shocked by this development, Ponnala now leaving to Delhi to discuss with party high command regarding his seat. Another leader who got shocker is former Minister Shashidhar Reddy who expected Sanathnagar ticket. Another Congress leader P Vishnuvardhan reddy, son of late PJR was expecting Jubilee Hills ticket and he also did not get a ticket. Vijayashanti also will have to confine to campaigning as she didn’t get Medak seat.
On the other hand, Konda Surekha who recently joined Congress from TRS, Revant Reddy who joined Congress from TDP got tickets. Congress senior leaders are firing on the party saying, party is giving more importance to these new joiners but neglecting the ones who are with parties for several years.
