PM Modi hit back strongly at his opponents on the allegations of exaggeration of India’s air strikes on terror camps in Balakot area of Pakistan occupied Kashmir. He said that the opposition parties leaders are making such objectionable statements that are favouring Pakistan. Modi said that the Pakistani media is popularizing these comments of opposition leaders only to tarnish the image of India.
Modi said Pakistan is using Indian opposition statements as a safety shield. He addressed a public meeting at Patna in Bihar. He told the people that while he was trying to eliminate the problem of terrorists from Kashmir, the opposition parties are bent upon eliminating him (ie Modi). The PM made serious comments indirectly referring to AICC president Rahul Gandhi. Modi said that some leaders are angry with the watchman like him as their plans of earning wealth in the name of welfare of poor people will not work any more.
Modi’s comments on border conflict once again brought to the fore how ugly the election campaign for 2019 general election is going to become. It is a matter of concern that while soldiers are making sacrifices in the crossfire with terrorists on the border, the politicians are indulging in a blame game only to get electoral and political benefits.
