The latest survey by Corporate Chanakya gave a clear edge to the Telugu Desam Party in April 11 election. The TDP will win 101 in the 175-member Assembly. The survey gave 71 seats to the YCP and 3 to Jana Sena. As per the findings, the TDP is preforming uniformly well in all regions in an equal measure while the YCP is struggling in central and north coastal regions of the state.
Nearly 48.3 per cent wanted Chandrababu Naidu as CM again. Jagan came next with 41.1 per cent. Pawan got 6.4 per cent support. For Jana Sena, the survey results came as a disappointment. Pawan may not get a single seat in East Godavari district where his Kapu community is strong but will not help him. Pawan may win one seat in Visakhapatnam district and two in West Godavari district. In other areas, Jana Sena is damaging YCP more than TDP.
TDP National Spokesman Lanka Dinakar asserted their party will win more than 140 seats. The survey says just like in Telangana, the pro-government sentiment is rising in the days before the polling day because of large number of welfare programmes.
