Congress President Rahul Gandhi is sticking to his decision to resign for good. This is despite persistence by Sonia Gandhi and party senior leaders against his resignation. Rahul followers feel that senior leaders have not at all cooperated with Rahul both in electioneering and election strategies.
Rahul tried his best to highlight the Rafale scam and also Congress party’s Nyay minimum guarantee scheme. His is the only voice that was heard while other Congress leaders did not bother to take it forward. There’s a feeling that seniors have developed a soft stance towards the BJP because of their own personal interests.
Against this backdrop, Rahul has asked seniors to look for an alternative party chief. That is something unthinkable as Congress without Gandhi family leadership will be hopelessly lost. Now the party seniors are in utter shock at the bizarre turn of events. Rahul seems hellbent on giving a rude shock to Congress seniors.
