After the mammoth global success of Baahubali series, director SS Rajamouli’s popularity outside India has reached a whole new level. This is the reason why his next film RRR, starring NTR and Ram Charan, is red hot in trade circles in international market. The 300 Crore budget patriotic drama is likely to do unprecedented pre release business even before the shoot is half done.
Telugu360 has now exclusively learnt that the overseas theatrical rights of RRR have been snapped for a stunning 65 Crore. Dubai based distribution company Phars Films LLC has reportedly made a single payment to RRR producer to grab the all language rights of all countries barring China. This is on par with the pre release business of Baahubali 2 in overseas. It seems like RRR is going to set new benchmark for Indian films in terms of pre release business.
RRR also features Bollywood actors Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn in significant roles. The film is slated for release in 2020.
