In the name of attracting investments, Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, is distributing lands worth a whopping Rs 2,350 cr to an extent of 23,550 acres for solar power projects, said TDP spokesman, Kommareddy Pattabhiram, on Wednesday.
Talking to media persons Pattabhiram felt that this is nothing but a massive scam. While the earlier governments had allocated land to an extent of mere three acres for one megawatt solar power, Jagan has escalated it to six acres per megawatt, Pattabhi said adding that in the Cabinet meeting held on Wednesday Jagan has raised curtains for a scam involving 23,500 acres in the name of solar power.
Even if the minimum price of each acre is Rs 10 lakh, the total amount of the land is a whopping Rs 2,350 cr which is a huge scam, Pattabhi remarked. The GSW New Energy organization has agreed to produce only 3,500 megawatt solar power and instead of allotting 10,500 acres to it why 20,100 acres alloted, he asked.
Also, one Aqua Green Energy Management Private Limited company which is not known to anyone has been alloted 6,000 acres for a capacity of 1000 megawatts, Pattabhiram added.
The Indosol Power, which is a binami company of Jagan is allotted an additional 10,500 acres, he said and felt that since the time of his Government fast approaching Jagan is keen on making money. Pattabhiram pointed out that in the agreement entered into by the Jagan Government with the Indosol earlier there was no condition of Special Purpose Vehicle but at Wednesday’s Cabinet meeting this norm is included only to loot the huge extent of land.
Pattabhiram demanded as to why the norms are amended in land allotment to the solar power projects which were earlier alloted on lease basis.
