It is well known that Md Ali Shabbir, former Congress minister and leader of opposition in Telangana Legislative Council has emerged as the bitter critic of TRS party and the government led by KCR. He has never spared even the family members of KCR-son K Taraka Ramarao, T-IT minister and duaghter Kavita, Nizambad MP-for the alleged corruption. He also started attacking MIM, the new ally of TRS. There are rumors that talking to Shabbir Ali is banned in TRS. His bone of contention is that waqf property is being robbed under TRS rule and deputy chief minister Mohammad Mahammad Ali is complicit in it.
Amid this conflict on Wednesay an interesting meeting took place at the residence of Shabbir Ali. Telangana deputy chief minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali, much to the surprise of the Shabbir’s staff, arrived at Shabbir’s residence. Shabbir extended warm welcome and led him into the house, where they spent about an hour. They had breakfast together. Mahmmood Ali is seen as the Muslim face of TRS.
The meeting, however, has nothing to do with the politics the two leader are pursuing. The deputy chief minister came to Shabbir’s house to invite him to the marriage of his granddaughter. Mahmood Ali called on Shabbir to deliver the invitation card for the marriage, to be held on January 2, in person. Even though it may not cool the temperature down between the two major parties in Telangana, it will definitely thaw the ice between the two leaders. According to some leader, the two leader had not been on good terms for quite some time. The relations nosedived when Shabbir Ali criticized the deputy CM for his failure in protecting the waif properties in Telangana.
