This has become such a common aspect of RGV’s publicity material that it is almost like a fetish. If you look back, this trend probably started from Sarkar onwards. RGV is fond of creating maximum impact with minimum effort and perhaps, he feels that a coffee cup in hand and a serious look on the face is enough to create interest around his characters.
Today, he released some pictures showcasing actress Naina Ganguly. She has been cast in the role of Vangaveeti Ratnakumari (Chennupati Ratnakumari), wife of Vangaveeti Radha. Even for her introduction pictures, RGV has put a coffee cup in hand and she is seen staring straight ahead with a serious expression.
Perhaps, the man already has an explanation for this theme, or fetish, if you prefer to call it that.
