Even as TDP leadership is unhappy with importance the BJP ministers at New Delhi are giving to Opposition Leader Jaganmohan Reddy, union finance minister Arun Jaitely had a meeting with him on Wednesday.
Jagan presented a memorandum and the book ” Chandrababu Naidu-Emperor of Corruption” to the finance minister as well.
Back home, TDP MLC and spokesperson A Rajendra Prasad wondered as to how home minister Rajnath Singh and finance minister Arun Jaitely give appointment to a person who is accused in serious economic offences.
Similarly, chief minister Chandrababu Naidu also took strong objection to the charge that he had committed Rs 1, 34, 295 crore worth corruption. Addressing a huge gathering of people came from Prakasam district on the occasion of Gottipati Ravi joining the TDP, the CM asked Jagan to show proof for the charges.
In New Delhi, Jagan also interacted with national media.
He demanded union government that an iquiry by CBI be instituted into the defections engineered by chief minister Chandrababu Naidu. Such an high -level inquiry alone would bring the corruption of Chandrababu Naidu into light , he added.
‘If CBI interrogated the defector-MLAs about the money they received for switching loyalties, the source of the money Naidu offering to the MLAs would come out,” Jagan said.
Jagan told National media that there were about 31 scams in which Naidu is involved in the past 24 months and in terms of money the value of the corruption would be to the tune of 1.34 lakh crore.
“Chandrababu Naidu had prior knowledge of the location of capital city which was passed on to his coterie who purchased lands in large extents. The deals were done between May 2014 after he was sworn-in as Chief Minister and December when the actual location of the capital city was announced. This amounts to insider-trading, ” he alleged.
“Chandrababu Naidu was caught red-handed in Telangana state while trying to bribe an MLA during the MLC elections and it is an old habit that he has been continuing in Andhra Pradesh as well.
The difference of votes polled between our Party and TDP is very thin and the ruling party resorting to buying of MLAs with Rs 20 to Rs 30 crores is undemocratic, he said.
