Actor Sundeep Kishan’s upcoming film Oka Ammayi Tappa is gearing up to hit the screens in the last week of May. Writer Rajasimha is making his debut as director with this film and Nitya Menon is the female lead. Tipped to be a romantic thriller, the story of Oka Ammayi Tappa takes place in traffic. The trailer has received a decent response from the audience.
Telugu360 has exclusively learnt that the overseas rights of the film have been bagged for $ 55K. This is a huge price considering Sundeep Kishan’s market. So, the film need to collect close to $ 100K for breakeven which looks an improbable number unless the film garners a super hit verdict. Sundeep Kishan’s previous film Run managed a scanty $ 4K in its full run and stands top in the list of lowest grossing Telugu films of 2016.
In fact, it is a poor move by the overseas distributor to shell out exorbitant price without considering the hero’s market in overseas.
