Matinee idol Megastar Chiranjeevi, who stayed away from arch lights due to his political commitments, is back on the shooting floors for his comeback film which is being directed by VV Vinayak. Chiranjeevi’s son Ram Charan is bankrolling the film in association with Lyca International banner. Tipped to be an official remake of Tamil smash hit Kaththi, the film is tentatively titled Kathilantodu.
If the ongoing reports in the industry circles are to be believed, Bollywood actor Vivek Oberai is likely to play Chiranjeevi’s nemesis in the film. It is learnt that Vivek has been approached for the bad guy’s role and he is going to take a call very soon. Earlier, there were reports that Jagapathi Babu has been offered the role, but he has reportedly turned down the offer. We have to wait for an official confirmation to know if Vivek Oberai is going to come on board for this prestigious project.
South Indian beauty Kajal Aggarwal is in talks to play the film’s leading lady. The regular shooting is going nonstop in Hyderabad and the makers are planning to release it for Sankranthi. Devi Sri Prasad is rendering the tunes for the film.
