Sankranthi is the best season for films across the Telugu speaking states. Every year the audience witness huge fight between films that hit the screens during this season. Sankranthi 2017 is said to witness the biggest fight ever and the expected business is said to be close to Rs 200 crores. Veteran actors Megastar Chiranjeevi and Nandamuri Balakrishna are said to clash during this season. Chiranjeevi’s comeback film Khaidi No 150 is in final stages of shoot and it is being directed by VV Vinayak. The movie has been carrying huge expectations and the pre-release business of the film is said to be close to Rs 80 – 100 Crores.

Nandamuri Balakrishna inched his 100th film mark and the prestigious film has been titled Gautamiputra Satakarni. Krish is directing this periodic drama and Shriya Saran is the female lead. The movie is said to close at Rs 70 – 80 Crores which is huge. Young actor Sharwanand is testing his luck once again during Sankranthi with Shathamanam Bhavathi which is being directed by Vegesna Satish and produced by Dil Raju. The film is said to contribute Rs 15 – 20 Crores during the season.
