Chennai: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa will be discharged from Apollo soon this Diwali, said doctors in Apollo. After analysing the way she is being given physiotherapy and other medical care, the doctors have reportedly give their nod that Amma should be discharged from the hospital before Diwali. However, leaders of AIDMK are not sure about the news. However the speculation is, the party functionaries are happy to learn that Amma is coming home on the coming Sunday.
Meanwhile, British doctor Richard Beale also visited the Chief Minister on Sunday and monitored the treatment being given to her. He is learnt to have suggested the doctors to keep Jayalalithaa under observation for another 10 days.
It is more than one month after the Chief Minister was admitted to Apollo on September 22 complaining severe dehydration and fever. Meanwhile, Finance Minister O Panneerselvam will convene a second cabinet meeting on Monday where the discussion on Goods and Services Tax (GST) is likely to come to the fore.
