It seems not much enthusiasm is seen among Telugu Desam Party leadership after its supremo and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu got relief from the High Court in famous vote-for-cash case.
Though the High Court dismissed YSRCP MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy complaint, which sought investigation into Naidu’s role in this case on technical ground, TDP leaders are fearing yet the shade likely to continue for some more time.
TDP leaders realised that it was a temporary relief only they got in the High Court. The matter was referred to the High Court by the Supreme Court, following the MLA’s petition. Now, Reddy said he is contemplating to challenge High Court judgement in the apex court.
Ramakrishna Reddy surprised over the High Court verdict though he had scientifically proved the voice contained in the video tape was Naidu’s voice. Recalling that in similar cases even PV Narasimha Rao and Jayalalithaa didn’t file quash petitions in high courts, he asked if Chandrababu Naidu is confident he is `clean’, why he filed such a petition
Also expressing surprise over the High Court dismissing his petition on a technical ground that he has no `locus stand’, Reddy said under the provisions of Anti-Corruption Bureau, any citizen can bring to its notice and sought probe on any corruption charge. Asserting that he is having confidence on ACB probe, he said he had approached the court only after founding that since last two years there was no progress in Telangana ACB’s probe in this particular case.
Recalling that once even former prime minister P V Narasimha Rao was found guilty by the court in `vote for cash’ case, he said here the accused was caught red-handedly. He said he is having confidence that he would get justice in the Supreme Court.
