Akkineni Nagarjuna’s latest devotional drama is surprising the trade with its dull run all over. Despite getting promising reviews and good talk from the first day, the film has been registering shockingly dismal numbers in all areas. In Overseas, the collections are very pathetic in the first weekend.
The film took off on a poor note in Overseas by collecting a measly $ 15,528 on its premiers day. On Friday, the film managed to collect $ 32,890. Improving its collections on Saturday, ONV notched up $ 75K taking the total to $ 124K. The film was bought for a hefty price and it should collect $ 1.5M for break even. Going by its lackluster run in the first weekend, it looks like the film will end a huge loss venture for the buyers.
On the other side, Suriya’s Singam 3 too failed to live up to the expectations of the trade circles. However, the film managed to collect slightly better numbers than ONV. Including the Telugu and Tamil versions, Singam 3 collected $ 260K by the end of Saturday.
