Telangana TDP leaders, who have been facing the problem of `political existence’ in the state, are seems to be impatient with the non-cooperative attitude of the BJP. It may be recalled that both the parties are sharing power both at the Centre and also in the neighbouring state Andhra Pradesh. But, here, TDP leaders accusing that in no way the BJP is coming to their rescue to strengthen their party in Telangana.
After 2014 polls, TDP supremo N Chadnrababu Naidu assured that he would concentrate on strengthening the party in Telangana aiming at to become ruling party by 2019. But due to obvious reasons he had shifted his base to Vijayawada and practically ignoring party prospects in the state.
In this regard, Naidu promised them as the party is in Power in AP, all the nominated posts to be offered for the party by the Centre would be given to party leaders in Telangana. But till now, Narendra Modi government failed to give a single nominated position at the Centre for them.
Chandrababu Naidu had personally recommended to the Prime Minister, two years ago, seeking appointment of its senior SC leader and former minister Motukupalli Narasimham as Governor. Whenever, he try to remind his request, he is getting same reply that it is under process.
Moreover, TDP leaders are also expressing their anger towards attitude of the BJP leaders in the state, who are not coming forward for united struggles against TRS government, either inside the assembly or outside. A senior TDP leader alleged that many BJP leaders are waiting for an opportunity to join K Chandrasekhar Rao cabinet and also for a poll alliance with TRS in 2019.
TDP leaders are also accusing that it was unilateral attitude of BJP contributed for their poor performance in 2014. According to them, among five BJP MLAs in the city, four of them had won only with TDP’s support.
