The Telangana joint action committee and student unions are protesting as part of Nirudyogula Nirasana Pradarsana (Unemployed Protest Rally) wherever feasible to highlight unemployment problem in the State. The students of Osmania University, started a remonstration today to protest against TRS government for failing to provide the promised 1lakh jobs. Tension mounted at campus with various student unions conducting rallies. Several students were arrested and taken to different police stations in the capital city
Police forces are mobilized in and around the campus who closed all the routes to the campus. However, the students started the march from the hostel in Arts College campus. Police denied the permission to go out of the campus and stopped them at the NCC gate and Law College. The students who raised slogans against KCR, burnt effigies and entered into a heated argument with the police officials.
The OU campus which is on the boil over the unemployment issue is completely surround by the police. SFI and DSFI student groups who tried to take out a rally at Sundaraiah Vignana Kendram were detained by the police. The Police foiled the attempts by the students at various places in and around the city who wanted to assembly to Indira Park. Earlier Hyderabad city police commissioner M Mahender Reddy has warned students “Legal action will be taken in case of any violation and this will affect your future and job prospects.”
