Nandyal legislator Bhuma Nagi Reddy who suffered a heart attack at his residence in Allagadda this morning, expired. After suffering a stroke, his family members immediately shifted him to Allagadda Hospital for initial treatment. However, Bhuma Nagireddy was taken to Nandyala hospital for treatment. Later, the Chief Minister asked the collector to fly him in a helicopter to Hyderabad for better treatment, as his condition was deteriorating.
The TDP MLA Bhuma Nagi Reddy survives with three children Bhuma – Akhila Priya, Bhuma Mounika and Bhuma Jagat Vikhyat Reddy. This is a huge loss to Akhila Priya who is TDP MLA, especially after losing her mother Shobha Nagi Reddy in a major road accident in 2014.
Bhuma Nagi Reddy is a powerful leader from Rayalseema and recently migrated to TDP. He worked for YSRCP and Prajarajyam Party for brief periods. After joining TDP Bhuma Nagi Reddy was all set to be inducted into the Chandrababu Naidu Cabinet.
Chandrababu Naidu expressed condolences and tweeted, “In deep anguish & shock over the demise of TDP family member Bhuma Nagi Reddy garu. My deepest condolences. We will stand by his family”
Opposition Leader Jagan Mohan Reddy expressed condolences and said that they have lost a family member.
