Bigg Boss Telugu season-2, is getting good viewership and engaging audience in its own style. Especially Nani episodes on weekends are enjoyable. Nani’s wit and humor is working big time with the show. However, there has been discussion about need of wild card entry into the show as well as rumors about possible wild card entries into the show.
Bigg boss-1 had wild cards on 15th day and 29th day
Bigg boss season-1 was a big hit. Some people might have forgotten, but Bigg boss season-1 Telugu too had it’s own down times. After fantastic start on 16 July 2017 and good initial weeks, the show gradually slipped and there was negative feedback like – contestants like Kalpana looking de-glamorized and dull, and the show was moving slow pace because of lack of drama in initial episodes and makers of Bigg boss-1 looked for wild card entries. Deeksha Panth entered as wild-card contestant on Day 15th after makers received feed back that there isn’t “much glamour” in the show and Deeksha immediately after joining the house, was seen in swim suit. Even though she was able to add glamour to the show, still audience felt the need for some “josh” in the house. It is then Navdeep entered the house as wild card contestant on Day 29. After Navdeep’s entry, entire canvas of the show got changed. Of course, after Navdeep’s entry only, show turned controversial with the task of shaving armpits of the contestants. But irrespective of the controversies, Navdeep took entire show into his hands and became finalist.
Why wild card needed into Bigg boss house now
Now it is more than a month in Bigg boss-2. Nani’s episodes are getting good ratings and week days are doing decent. But audience are feeling the need of wild card entry. Mainly because of lack of “josh” in the house. Even though Nandini entered the house after one week, she was not considered as wild card because Nani himself told she was unable to join on day-1 because of some accident and so joined a week later. Nandini is so passive and never made her mark till date. Tejaswi, who was supposed to be cheer-leader of the house turned monotonous and there is no comedian (like Dhanraj in season-1) or someone with great sense of humor who can spill some spontaneous jokes in the house. Commoner RJ Ganesh and Roll Rida from whom some spontaneity expected (after seeing the AVs during introduction) are playing safe and Ganesh still showing inhibitions. Kaushal, Gogineni, TV9 Deepthi, Samrat all are serious persons. All this makes the show lacking in terms of “comedy entertainment”, though they are successful in making “fights” in the house interesting e.g Kaushal vs Kiriti, Kaushal vs Tanish, Kaushal vs Bhanu.
Rumors on wild card
There have been various names like Rasi, Hebba Patel, Varun Sandesh and a few more names. However Hebba Patel condemned the rumors. There have been rumors on Nutan Naidu or Syamala re-entering too. However all these turned out to be just rumors with no truth. So audience are still curious to see if there will be any wild cards within couple of weeks. Now it is almost 37 days since start of Bigg boss-2 . So, its definitely good time for the makers of the show to throw some surprises to audiences. But adding another glamour doll would be of no use to the show as there are several of them already.
What bigg boss 2 needs is a wild card entrant who can chill and cheer the housemates and entertain audience. We will have to wait and see what Telugu Bigg boss-2 makers are planning.
