The much-awaited audio launch of “Brahmotsavam” kept its tryst with May 7th with a mega star-cast and an upbeat Mahesh Babu heap lavish praise on Mickey J Meyer who scored music for the film. Actor Navadeep compered the show with ease and style making the whole show professional and business-like. One of the highlights of the evening was the presence of Parachuri brothers who spoke after a gap of 15 years on their association with the family of Supertar Krishna and Mahesh. (“Okkadu” was the last film of the duo with Mahesh). Producer PVP has so far marketed the film with a cute teaser that set the tone for what to expect from “Brahmotsavam” but the audio launch has definitely raised the expectations of a feel-good family entertainer. From a combination perspective, the film has Mahesh sereneding Samantha for the third time and Kajol for the second time while there are umpteen veteren actors from Revathy and Jayasudha to Satyaraj and Naresh (for the very first time) co-starred with Mahesh. In his speech, Mahesh expressed hope that the film would fare well at the box office since his baby daughter graced the audio for the first time since she is born.
Trailer:
The trailer of the film doesn’t over-promise beyond giving some tantalising glimpses of Mahesh’s romance with the two girls Samantha and Kajal. It shows Mahesh first getting tempted by Kajal but later falls for Samantha and then she learns a thing or two about the large, extra-large family of Mahesh over seven generations. The parting line of Samantha completes the opening narrative in her own voice introducing what is in store for us. Not an action-filled trailer but a sober trailer which neither over-promises nor disappoints.
