Award winning South Indian actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu has her hands full of films and endorsements. With her wedding date inching, she has been working round the clock to wrap up her commitments. She has been roped in as the brand ambassador for Telangana handlooms after the Government of Telangana wanted to revive the handlooms and make them affordable. A fashion label WOVEN has been launched last night and Samantha turned out to be the major attraction of the event.
It was Samantha who was touched after she spotted the problems of the weavers during her journey across the state. The idea was born then and Samantha along with the government of Telangana and SVS Partners, she started WOVEN. On the eve of the National Handloom Day, Samantha has been left in heaps of praises for her work and dedication for handlooms. The actress revealed that WOVEN has been launched to respect the weavers financially and make handlooms affordable for a common man.
Samantha said that it was challenging however with the support of many, things happened. Minister of Telangana, KTR revealed about the support that the government of Telangana has been lending and the concern they have for the weavers.
