Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu’s Brother-In-Law Nandamuri Balakrishna was caught on camera again slapping a follower during a political door-to-door campaign on Tuesday. There is literally no end to the TDP MLA’s open-handedness.
The actor-cum-politician is a serial offender and has been in news specifically when he slaps someone. Media may not know the equation that Balakrishna seems to be sharing with his fans, but Tuesday’s incident was not going into people as an actor but as a legislator – a representative who rose to power only because people voted him.
Instead of teaching lessons to people in violent manner, he needs to do a self-introspection and try to behave responsibly. He should at least act conscientiously for the sake of voters who trusted him.
Chandrababu would have taken action or at least would have given an earful if such arrogance was displayed by any other leader in the party. But Balakrishna and the TDP supremo share a family bond and is a hero.
Chief Minister is either acting helpless or has given his brother-in-law license to smack anyone in the state. Beware, if you are in and around Balakrishna, DO NOT follow the Gandhian philosophy “If someone slaps you on one side of your face, turn the other one to him”.
