Hyderabad: In a novel protest against the plight of Hyderabad city roads, BJP MLA from Uppal constituency NVSS Prabhakar on Saturday boarded a city bus demanding immediate repairs of the roads and city highways which were battered severely due to the recent rains. People are witnessing hell due to the raise in dust particles and bumpy rides on the city roads, the MLA said. Common man is fearing to come on the roads, he remarked.
Prabhakar traveled in the ordinary city bus by pruchasing ticket from his residence to the BJP office in the city. Speaking to media persons later, the BJP MLA demanded that the basic infrastructure in the State.
“It is unfortunate that the Telangana is blowing its trumpet glorifying its richness and surplus budget, but it failed in delivering basic amenities to people,” he alleged.
Meanwhile, the GHMC will be taking up road works worth Rs 59 crore in the coming days. Only tender process for the worth of Rs 23 crore was so far completed and other tenders are yet to be finalised.
