A complaint was made against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and RBI Governor Urjit Patel at Police station in Phirangipuram town of Guntur district, making them responsible for the death of Polanki Innaiah (69), while standing in queue at a bank for exchange of higher value notes.
The retired government of fire services department, was collapsed on the consecutive third day, just to draw an amount of Rs 2,000. According to his son, Sundara Rao, who makes the complaint, his father went to the bank to withdrawn the amount deposited a day ago.
He said they filed the complaint only to bring the woes of the common people to the notice of the government. “The government should learn how ordinary people, particularly elderly people are suffering at banks”, he added.
He is also demanding an exgratia of Rs 25 lakh to their family. Innaiah was survived by wife, two sons and a daughter.
