Finding fault with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister’s pro-corporate policies, the CPM has sought to take action against his minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao, who was involved in bank’s default case. Wondering that Chief Minister, who always preaches about honesty and transparency in administration is silent even after it was revealed that the minister’s M/s Pratyusha Resources and Infra Private Limited secured bank loans without submitting valid documents.
CPM state secretary P Madhu ridiculed Minister’s clarification that earlier he was only Director of the Pratyusha firm and he has no connection with other affairs of the company. He said till 23 per cent shares of the company are held by the minister.
He deplored that Chandrababu Naidu has been making use of police force to crush people’s movements, but not for maintenance of law and order. He alleged that the government detained all party leaders and prevented farmers from attending public hearing conducted in Thodagi of East Godavari district on providing environment clearances for GMR Port. He deplored that the government resorted to irregular approvals by mobilising party cadre.
He also found fault with Chief Minister’s preparations for nuclear plant in Kovvada of Srikakulam and strongly objected that the district collector making arrangements without any clearances. He warned that if the Chief Minister fails to take action against the collector, he would bring parliamentary team to that place.
Stating that his party will not oppose to provide lands for industries, provided Chandrababu Naidu announces details with regard to details of projects, their investments, time-frame, place of operations and required land for them. He sought that TDP should be honest in allocating lands for industries.
Deploring that Chandrababu’s cabinet approved APIIC to take Rs 5 crore bank loans to secure 1 lakh acres, the CPM leader said that in places like Polanki by purchasing lands at Rs 3 lakh per acre, the government doing injustice to them selling at Rs 80 lakh to private companies.
Strongly objecting registration of Visakha Metro Infrastructure Development Company, 2016 on November 1, he fears that this would lead to privatisation of all municipal services. He demanded for immediate cancellation of this registration.
