Senior MLA Bhuma Nagi Reddy, who has joined TDP about a year ago with lot of aspirations, seems to be nowadays impatient due to `cold response’ from Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on latter’s assurances given to him at that time. In February, 2016, the YSRCP MLA, who is also having close family relationship with Leader of Opposition Y S Jaganmohan Reddy joined TDP, along with his MLA daughter Akhila Priya.
According to media reports, during his joining time Chandrababu Naidu promised to induct him or his daughter into his cabinet within six months, besides to remove all criminal cases foisted against him by his government after coming to power in June, 2014.
But till date, not a single promise was fulfilled. The dates for cabinet expansion are being deferred several times. With regard to criminal cases also not much progress is seen.
He is particularly worry about a case of murder attempt foisted against him in November, 2014 in Nandyal with regard to disruption of Municipal Council meeting. Besides Chief Minister’s direction to the Superintendent of Police to initiative necessary process, nowhere in the government a positive move is seen in this direction.
According to sources, both Law and Home departments have rejected the proposal forwarded by the SP. Now, the related file is said to be waiting for Chief Minister’s nod. Official circles are anxious that whether Chief Minister dare to sing papers in this regard after rejected by crucial Law and Home departments?
Nagi Reddy is reportedly angry with this development and accusing that some influential TDP leaders in Kurnool district, who were against his admission into the party, are working against him and bringing pressure on the officials to go ahead with criminal cases.
