In yet another blow to Congress, former speaker of United AP Assembly and senior leader Nadendla Manohar quit the national party amid rumours of his joining Jana Sena in a day or two.
Manohar is expected to meet Pawan and join his party officially at a meeting in Tirupati tomorrow. He is son of former chief minister Nadendla Bhasker Rao.
The news triggered speculation that Manohar has weighed pro and cons of victory chances before finalising his decision to join Jana Sena. He is likely to contest from Tenali on Pawan’s party ticket.
There is also speculation that some more Congress leaders will make a beeline to Jana Sena in central and north coastal Andhra regions in coming days.
For various reasons, Jana Sena has become a better destination than YCP for these leaders.
