Much ahead of the 2019 general elections, the season for the aspiring politicians to change loyalties has begun and senior leaders are no exception to this.
All is set now for TTD former Chairman and ex Tirupati MLA Chadalavada Krishnamurthy to leave TDP and join the Jana Sena in the next few days.
A deeply devout person, he is said to have decided to change party soon and he has already met Pawan Kalyan and got assurances of enough recognition in the party.
The immediate reason for Krishnamurthy’s decision is given out by his followers who say that their leader was not treated well by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu during his recent visit to Tirumala.
A senior leader, Krishnamurthy began his political career in the Congress party and served as the Nellore district Youth Congress president in the 1980s. He also served as the sarpanch of Nayudupeta town.
He changed loyalty to TDP in 1999 and contested successfully from Tirupati on TDP ticket. He was among the other leaders injured along with Chandrababu Naidu in the Alipiri attack.
Jana Sena is also rolling out red carpet to senior leaders from other parties if they are voluntarily coming forward in search of recognition.
Political observers say that the coming days will witness an increased activity of political aspirants to migrate to other parties for better opportunities.
The next election has indeed become the most prestigious like never before as TDP, YCP and Jana Sena are not going to let go of any small chance to change the election results in their favour.
In this scenario, second rung leaders and ticket aspirants will matter the most.
