Actor Ram Charan is shooting non-stop for his forthcoming film, Dhruva, in the direction of Surender Reddy. An official remake of Tamil blockbuster, Thani Oruvan, the film has Rakul Preet Singh as the female lead and Aravind Swamy as the antagonist. Allu Aravind is producing the film on Geetha Arts banner.
Telugu360 has exclusively learnt that the producer is quoting 6 Crores for the overseas rights of Dhruva. Trade circles are opining that it is an exorbitant price considering Charan’s stamina in overseas.
His previous film, Bruce Lee, failed to barely crossed the half million dollar mark and all parties suffered heavy loss. The highest grosser for Charan in overseas is Govindudu Andarivadele which netted $ 676K.
Overseas buyers and distributors are saying that 6 Crores is a ridiculous price as the film need to perform exceptionally well and collect three times more than Charan’s highest grosser for break even. As of now, there are no takers for Dhruva in overseas. So, we have to wait and see if the producer brings down the price.
