Prestigious Harvard University, US invited Telangana PR&IT KT Rama Rao for the India Conference which will be held in February 2016. The India Conference at Harvard is one of the largest India conferences in the US with close to 1,000 attendees. It is hosted at the Harvard Business School and Harvard Kennedy School in Boston by the graduate students of Harvard University. The 2016 edition of the Conference is being organized on the 6th and 7th of February, 2016 with the theme of “India in Transition – Opportunities and Challenges”.
The conference will bring together business leaders, government officials, philanthropists, and many other industry leaders to engage in a conversation about India’s path to global leadership. Some of the confirmed speakers for this year include Ms Chanda Kochhar (CEO, ICICI Bank); Ms Preetha Reddy (MD, Apollo Hospitals), Shashi Tharoor (Politician), Satish Pai (CEO, Hindalco), Ms Kumud Srinivasan (President, Intel India), Lou Hutter (Founder, Cricket Semiconductors), Rajat Mehta (President & Country Head, YES Bank) among others.
The minister will utilize his unique experience of shaping policies and working with corporates to discuss issues regarding scaling internet access, net neutrality, open data etc. and eventually making digital infrastructure a utility for everyone. The minister will also talk about T-Hub, India largest technology incubator to discuss how governments can accelerate innovation in this present digital age. During his visit to Boston, USA, the minister shall also participate in networking sessions at Harvard University to identify business synergies with senior executives of various Indian firms.
