AP minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao and former MP Yarlagadda Lakshmi Prasad got notices from High court today. This was in relation to the statutes of Hari krishna, Akkineni Nageswara Rao and Dasari Narayana rao that were unveiled in beach road of Vishakhapatnam. Details as below.
Bronze statutes of Hari krishna, Akkineni Nageswara Rao and Dasari Narayana rao were constructed by Ponnada Mohan without any permission from Municipality or any other authorities. Moreover these statutes were founded overnight. Janasena leader Bolisetty Satyanarayana filed a Public interest Litigation (PIL) in high court on these illegal statutes being unveiled by leaders who are occupying the top positions in the government. High court accepted this PIL and issued notices to Ganta, Yarlagadda and Ponnada Mohan on this. High court also mentioned the earlier supreme court orders on the similar subject that all such illegal statutes or any such illegal constructions need to be removed by the respective governments.
However, it would not be nice if the statues of these eminent personalities are demolished or removed by the authorities after court orders and it would be prudent for the minister (Ganta) to either remove them beforehand or get legal permissions to continue the statutes there.
