Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao said the process of shifting Hyderabad Race Course would be initiated soon.
“The Malakpet Race Course is in about 130 acres. They(Race course body) are asking for 200 acres. They are in touch with the government. Very soon the process will begin soon,” he said.
Similarly he talked about shifting of Chanchalguda jail as well.
CM expressed displeasure over the list of smart cities released by the centre today in which no Telangana city found place. Centre today released the first list of smart cities. Though Kakinada and Vizag from Andhra Pradesh made it to the list, Telangana’s Warangal could not qualify.
Talking about suicide of Rohit Vemula of Hyderabad Central University (HCU) the CM said it was an unfortunate incident. The CM , however, did not give straight answer on his not visiting the University so far. ” It is the not question of visiting or not visiting by the CM. There are many layers in government. We have reacted on the incident already and taken some steps,” he said.
