Ask Surabhi to say something about Express Raja, she reels off, “I was called for a screen test to UV creations office and they did a proper photo shoot with Sharwanand. The director Merlapaka Gandhi was very happy, he handed over the script to me. Express Raja is a commercial film, has lot of comedy elements. I had been given a dialogue book and the director would take tests before the shots. I had lot of fun shooting for the songs and the fight sequences as well. I was fighting like a power puffed girl..literally punching and kicking people. They had a fight master and they were training me and they said you look so happy enjoying the fight scenes. The songs were beautifully shot by Karthik, he has done a great job, such a young team..super energy on the sets. I am very happy with the look and performance wise..the director brought the best out of me. I also worked extra hard. Sharwa is a born actor, he is a terrific actor, we became very good friends on sets. He has this very broad smile..when he smiles everyone does and he lightens up d sets. He gives lot of tips also. He also gives the other person their own space, we had a lot of time rehearsing for a song sequence.” ..
