Telangana government is all set to announce its much awaited ICT policy on April 4, 2016. Infosys’ founder Narayana Murthy is going to release the policy in a program planned at Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC).
According to IT minister KT Ramarao, besides Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao, many stars of IT world will be present on the occasion.
Ramarao disclosed this in a tweet. ” Telangana ICT policy launch on 4th April, 2016 at HICC by Hon’ble CM Sri KCR & Infosys’ Mr. Narayana Murthy. Other ICT stalwarts will join in.”
Though delayed, the policy is being released amid the successful launch of many initiatives such as T-Hub etc by the IT department of Telangana led by KT Ramarao. The new policy is certain to enthuse the investors. As the government is working with objective of transforming Hyderabad into a start-up capital of India, the new policy is certain to lay emphasis on the start-ups.
The New ICT policy is expected offer more sops on the lines of the industrial policy announced last year.
