IKEA store was grandly launched last month in Hyderabad. The store saw huge crowds visiting. People had to wait in long queues for more than 30 minutes to get food in its restaurant. However, IKEA faced a major embarrassment after a customer found a caterpillar in biriyani. Now, one more such incident came out as a customer found insect in its chocolate cake.
In IKEA restaurant, when a customer was eating a chocolate cake he saw an insect and complained to the store management. He also tweeted about the same. Yesterday, IKEA apologized the customer and assured steps to prevent any recurrence of any such incidents.
Earlier also another customer complained about finding a caterpillar in veg biriyani. Then, IKEA had voluntarily stopped sales of vegetarian biryani and samosas. The municipal corporation had imposed a fine of Rs 11,500 on IKEA then. On current incident, municipal authorities not yet responded.
