Leader of Opposition YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has slammed Chandrababu Naidu for his indifference towards farmers and for failing to complete a single irrigation project after he took over as Chief Minister three years back.
Launching his `Rythu Bharosa Yatra’ on the second day from Atmakur of Kurnool district today, he accused that even after about three years of his regime, he didn’t commissioned a single irrigation project and the state has been reeling under severe drought.
Jagan Mohan Reddy deplored that the Chief Minister has thrown Rs 100 crores for Veligonda project like crumbs which will not be sufficient for any viable purpose and if allocations are done in such a manner we do not know when this project will be completed.
He wondered that work on head regulator has not been started yet which shows his indifference towards irrigation projects. He is more interested in kickbacks than the welfare of farmers. Three years are completed and after two years there will be elections which we will win and we shall complete all the pending projects, he added.
The YSRCP Chief demanded that all turncoats should face elections before joining other parties and governance is not about engineering defections. People should join hands to reject such leaders, he said
Chandrababu Naidu has taken the life out of Aarogyasri scheme and watered down fees reimbursement scheme putting the future of students at crossroads. While YSR has built 42 lakh houses Chandrababu Naidu did not build a single house, he said. Later, he garlanded the statue of YSR and paid homage to the mass leader.
